Nancy Drew #2: The Hidden Staircase by Carolyn Keene Book Review!

Hi!

I'm back with another Nancy Drew book review! This time I'm reviewing the second book. in the series: The Hidden Staircase, which happens to be one of my favorites.

Nancy's friend, Helen, asks her to come to Twin Elms Manor and solve a ghost haunting for Helen's great-aunt and great-grandmother. And Nancy's dad's life is in danger.

I Probably should have mentioned this in my last ND review, but I love Nancy's relationship with her dad and their house keeper, Hannah. Carson Drew is one of my favorite fictional dads', and Hannah is a really sweet, motherly figure toward Nancy.

We see more of Helen then we did in the last book. Helen is also engaged to a man named Jim Archer (who is also in the Secret of the Old Clock game). Helen's great-grandmother and great-aunt Rosemary are also nice characters.

All the haunting at Twin Elms Manor was kind of cool, like when the chandelier started swing,  and music played out of nowhere, the owl in the house, etc.

Then the book gets more intense when Nancy's dad gets kidnapped by the people who are trying to make Helen's great-grandmother sell Twin Elms. Not cool.

One of my favorite parts of the book was when Nancy and Helen are exploring Riverveiw Manor and find the hidden staircase. That part was good and also a little bit scary.

And Nancy's dad is okay! Yay!

Well, that's it for now.

Bye

Catalyst by Shelly Crane Book Review!

Hi!

I'm back and I'm finally reviewing Catalyst, which is the third book in the Collide series by Shelly Crane.

Taking place immediately after Uprising, Sherry being tortured by the Lighters. but is saved by her friends. Cain has completely fallen for Lillian, and Lily's powers are getting stronger.

SPOILER ALERT!

One my favorite things in this series is the relationship between Sherry and Merrick, and their daughter Lily. It just so adorable and I love it! Sherry and Merrick are one of OTPs. I love them so much!

Another couple that's adorable is Jeff and Marissa. They are so cute, especially in this book. I TOTALLY KNOW SHE WAS PREGNANT! I WAS RIGHT! I love that the four year-old knew she was pregnant and just dropped the ball in front of everyone!

Cain and Lillian are one of my favorite couples of the series. They are amazing, and just so lovable. At this point they obviously are in love with each other.

Danial is okay. He a really good guy. I just tend to get a little territorial about my OTPs so everytime he talked about how much he loves Lillian I kind of was like "NO! NO! HECK NO!" But really, Danial is a good guy.

And holy cow! That ending! What a cliffhanger! What the heck!!!

But seriously, this book is awesome, and I highly recommend it.

Bye for now!

Little House In the Big Woods by Laura Ingalls Wilder Book Review!

Hi!

I'm now finally going to review the Little House series by Laura Ingalls Wilder, starting with the first one: Little House In the Big Woods.

The book is about a little girl named Laura Ingalls who lives in the big wood of Wisconsin with her Pa and Ma (Charles and Caroline Ingalls), her older sister Mary and Baby siser Carrie, and their bulldog Jack. The series tells about the Ingalls family's life in the big woods.

I love Laura and her family.  Laura is almost very different from Mary; Mary has blond curls and is more ladylike, and Laura has brown hair and is more of an adventurous tomboy. I love Charles and Caroline. I think they're great. I love the parts where Charles plays the fiddle. I love the stories that Pa tells Mary and Laura, like the panther, and the bear.

I like that the book and the rest of the series shows how different a lot of things were way back then, like the colors of hair ribbons Laura and Mary had to wear because of their hair colors. and the bonnets, and just the life style as a whole was very different.

I love this book and this series. I will continue to read it no matter how old I get.

That's all for now.

Bye

Nancy Drew #1: The Secret of the Old Clock by Carolyn Keene Book Review!

Hello!

Today I'm gonna review the very first Nancy Drew book (or at least the 1959 rewrite). I am a huge fan of both the Nancy Drew books and PC games.

The book starts with Nancy tries to find the missing will of Josiah Crowley, who supposedly promised to leave hos relatives a lot of money, but in his first will he left every thing to the Topham family.

Let my start by saying Nancy is awesome! She is and always will be one of my favorite female fictional character.

This book also show Nancy's friend, Helen Corning. I like Helen, but I like Bess and George way more.

We also meet the Topham family and they are really horrible people, at least the daughters are.

One thing I like about Nancy Drew, especially books one though four, whenever something scary happens it keeps you at the end of your seat and leaves you wanting more (at least for me it does). Evan when Nancy is just standing in an abandon house alone it makes you fell like What's gonna happen? What is she gonna do? Nancy! Run!

The most suspenseful parts for me is when Nancy was at the cottage and the thieves show up, and when she took the clock before the thieves could catch her.

I really love this book. You are never to old for Nancy Drew.

Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins Book Review!

Hi everyone!

Now I'm FINALLY reviewing Anna an the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins.

Spoiler alert!

Anna's parents sending to attend high school in France, which she thinks is the worst thing ever, until she meets a certain boy.

Although Anna may not be my favorite main character, I like just fine. As a character, Anna is pretty cool, and I would like to be her friend.

I really like St. Clair. Anna and St. Clair's relationship is both sweet yet heartbreaking. St. Clair can so sweet. And He's just so cocky and lovable that he can pretty much weasel his way into anywhere. I also love St. Clair's friendship with Josh.

Josh is probably my favorite side character of the book. I didn't really like josh and Rashmi's relationship. It's not that I don't like Rashmi, but after reading the synopsis of Isla and the Happily Ever After I was kind of sold on who I shipped with. And the fact that Isla appears in this book was cool.

I really, really love the ending. It's my favorite part of the book, but just like the ending of the How to Love. Anna and St. Clair got together at the very end of the story, and even though it was a solid ending, my shipper heart wanted more.

I really liked this book and I definitely recommend it.

Well, that's all for now. Bye!
